In 2014 I started dabbling in handlettering and created a birthday calendar for my mums birthday.
I also started sewing clothes for people. I created my own fabrics by using textile paint and homemade stamps.
I quickly found out I was more interested in the fabrics and the patterns rather than the long hours behind the sewing machine.
Designed my first logo and painted it on the window of the coffeebar in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
I can safely say that I have committed my life to creativity.
Let me show you some of my journey.
Started designing wedding invites for friends and starting getting more jobs in design.
I also moved to Australia for a couple of months to get to know the guy I had fallen in love with at the start of this year
(spoiler: we are now married!)
My Australian lover Amos came to live in the Netherlands for a year and got to know my family.
I worked on one of my first big illustration projects for a book publisher in the Netherlands & also got to know other amazing entrepreneurs and did fun projects with them!
I kept creating fun illustrations for brands as well as creating branding. This year I also started buying canvas and paints again and realised I really love it!
This year I moved to Australia and got my first publication in an Australian magazine. I've also kept working for a lot of Dutch clients as well as new Australian ones!
In 2018 I moved from the Netherlands to Australia to be with my Australian lover -and now husband- Amos.
We fell in love in 2016 when I was travelling Australia.
We are both creatives, he's a musician, I'm an artist. We live on the East Coast of Australia close to the well known town of Byron Bay.
I enjoy good coffee
I'm an enneagram 3 &
